Aortic Valve Regurgitation

Aortic Valve RegurgitationAortic valve regurgitation is considered a coronary heart disease?

The coronary arteries are small arteries that supply the heart. When you block the coronary artery you get a heart attack or if it is partially blocked you can get pain called angina pectoris. This is called coronary heart disease.
aortic valve is the valve at the outlet of the left ventricle. This valve can malfunction in several ways. It can cause a narrowing of the opening is called stenosis or leakage of blood into the heart which is called regurgitation.
Although the two are not the same both can coexist in the same person.

It is considered a heart disease but not coronary because it does not directly affect the coronary arteries.
