Arthritis Help

Arthritis HelpHow can I help my girlfriend with rheumatoid arthritis?

My girlfriend has suffered from juvenile rheumatoid arthritis for most of his life and it hurts the heart to see her in so much pain. She takes medication for it, but never done much good. I feel so useless not being able to help with the pain, I asked him if I can help, but she always says "fine". Are there ways that I can really help??

Thank you in advance.

I do not recommend using aid Douglas B ... his answer to everything is "a muscle is stuck" and it will guide you through the technique he invented cockamamie, but give the same technique to any other person. This is not a health professional. I think he has no idea about the true nature of JRA regular as opposed to "Arthritis "....

What you can do for your girlfriend to understand that this is a medical disorder that involves an autoimmune component. You must be positive that she takes her medication on time, she meets her level of pain during a exaccerbation JRA (a push-up) and not try to "pass the pain." Help maintain good health by limiting exposure to germs ... especially when the methotrexate it is even more susceptible to infection.

... Especially ... show understanding.

All you can really do is be there for her and show her you care. It is really hard to see people go through things like that. I have been dealing with arthritis since I was 9 (I'm 14 now) and so you would be able to help.

I am 16 years with the judge in my spine (ankylosing spondylitis) and I love it when my boyfriend massages my neck where the pain is greatest. It relieves the pain temporarily, but I really appreciate it!

In addition, if it is to have a "bad" day with the JRA, just be sweet to her. Stay indoors and watch a movie rather than going out.

Good luck! :)

I have had RA since I was 11 and I understand the pain (I'm 24 now) and it tears my husband up there isn't what it can do to win, but things simple as getting dressed or to help me tie my shoes or combing my hair, which helps a lot when I am in great pain, and do most to help me clean the house massaging painful areas' m it helps a lot relieves some pain and my husband applies heat compresses to my pain as well while keeping a positive attitude helps them cope better with a lot of pain and keep a smile on his face and encouraging words helps
I do not know what kind of drugs she takes, but I find that the TBT Osteoflex joints helps me to spend a bit better because it helps your joints. And I also started taking the drug Humira and I had a great improvement on this drug
But you sound like a good guy and I give points is to want to help out, because some men do not have that attitude sometimes gives and want nothing to do with ya-so stay awesome

Peter, please contact me, I need some additional information and I think I'll be able to give you help. I had some success with arthritis in the past.

There are several things you and your girlfriend can do to help cope with arthritis pain.

For those with arthritis, preforming regular low-impact exercises such as walking or certain water sports, is very important. Regular exercise safely help to strengthen muscles and improve flexibility and endurance. Often, the pain of arthritis has been inactive for too long, so it's also helped by exercise.

Eating healthy is also important, which means no loading on junk food and make an effort to get the proper vitamins and nutrients, particularly vitamin D.

Exercise and diet can be very effective to help treat arthritis pain, so that her boyfriend, you can.
