Autism Awareness Week

Autism Awareness WeekAutism: It's not "talk", it is virtually Screaming!

Have you noticed those ads on TV Ad Council ... the recent remarks of autism? Although many facets of the campaign seems daunting (we will return in a moment), his figures are correct: one in 166 children is now diagnosed with autism, up from 1 in 10,000 just over a decade ago .

With stats like that hit us so hard, even parents with normal, healthy children (like me) wonder what this unprecedented influx in the average case, and why this occurs.

However, parents of autistic children have begun to ask tough questions years.

A visit to the Web site Centers for Disease Control to seek answers to these difficult questions does not help much.

In addition, the FAQ page of the site for autism appears to dodge and duck these questions be answered. What is troubling is that the CDC seems bland on the subject of the case more and more, and practically deny that the rise in autism cases has nothing to do with vaccines.

And working with the Council Group on the draft above PSA, called "Autism Speaks"? Why, none other than their big-brother-in-state, CDC.

How ironic, given the proverbial tape appears to be placed on the mouth of the person.

I picked up a local newspaper, The Jackson Sun, a couple of Sunday, and read about the family Hazelhurst. The oldest of the couples two children, seven years Yates has been diagnosed with autism shortly after his first birthday.

The Hazlehurst filed a complaint alleging that the vaccinations Yates received after his first year of life has caused gastrointestinal illness and autism, according to Sun. The Court of Federal Claims in Charlotte, North Carolina has agreed to hear the request of the family, which was also filed on behalf of over 5000 families.

The Hazelhurst lucky that Yates's father, Rolf (who is a lawyer), documented the first year of life with a new fervor Yates father. The dad "proud" of videos made excellent fodder for the case of the family. This documentation is the ideal video Hazelhurst family to represent the other plaintiffs in the lawsuit.

Videos show the Yates children a healthy environment, better than the average baby. He made eye contact. He said a few words like "please" and "thank you" before its time, and was filmed in a phone jabbering while apparently riding on the back of the toy car of his cousins.

Yates changed radically, however, immediately after receiving the MMR vaccine, Hib, Hepatitis B vaccine Prevnar and in February 2001.

His mother, Angela, said in an interview Sun "," Three days of its vaccine to his birthday, he is stunned, "said Angela. "Twelve days later he had a red, bumpy rash. We did not recognize it as a reaction. A month after that, in the bath, I say, 'Yates, Yates, and it does concern us most. "

Yates has been diagnosed with autism.

On the flip side, Angela Hazelhurst, Yates mother, said she wanted to clarify his position on vaccines: "I am not a mother who is against all vaccinations .... but the rise in autism has Parents are concerned about what to do, "she said.

What our kids really heavy metal poisoning? Is it vaccines?

According to the watchdog group based in Florida FIND vaccines, the MMR vaccine containing mercury was added to the immunization schedule in the late 70s. In 1988, the vaccine containing mercury Hib was added. Containing mercury for infants against hepatitis B was added in the early 1990s. Children receive all these vaccines and mercury-containing DTP, three or four doses during the first year and a half of their fragile life, and vaccines are typically administered simultaneously (multiple.
