Autism Funding Does anyone know of funding for children with autism to go to a school for children with special needs? I have a 6 year old son with autism and I am trying to find funding for him to attend a school for children with special needs, including autism, here in Louisiana that will help enormously. I found the perfect school, but it is almost $ 6,000 per year. Any help would be greatly appreciated. in my state of the school district home pay. If your district does not have an appropriate program, you must be beaten to it - you should have a booklet on the rights of parents in Special Ed He described the appeal process --- and if you win- their school has to pay your legal fees .. Most schools have scholarship programs to help. if it does not, then look in your local government. many places have Grants and the example they can and do provide. I know that subsidies are something that people for college, but they contribute with the private sector or non-tax funded institutions like the one you want. If this does not work, ask your church to start a fundraiser for you. I know it sounds like a charity or will not work, but many people might be willing to help. You can always check online at websites for things autism. However, my brother 7 years old autistic tried to go to a special needs school and he did not like. is severely autistic. w found that, for him, the public school was better. it has good teachers and para and many friends (some special needs, some not) if your private school does not work, try your public schools. it may be useful. I guess you have to say $ 60,000 per year because of $ 6,000 would be a huge amount of small size. In any case, if your child has been in the public school system for one year, they are entitled to the award McKay, who will pay the funds are paid to the school in your name can be used to defray the cost of the program you want. I think there will be a surplus that you must pay yourself, but I do not know how. Posted on March 1, 2010.
