Cholesterol MedsI do not want to go on cholesterol drugs. If I stop eating for a week my triglycerides down?

I went to the doctor and he told me that my lipid panel does not improve, he would take me to put on cholesterol lowering. I know from experience these drugs are hard on the liver. I would rather go the natural route which he said fish oil tablets every day. If I stop eating this weekend, my triglycerides down before my next blood test? I cheated on my diet very bad and I need to get my cholesterol down.

Well, probably. You do not say how much you weigh, we can not say if the triglycerides are because of your weight or not.

Are your triglycerides down by the weekend? Maybe, but do not bet on it. You have to lose enough weight to bring it down substantially.

However, since you say that you cheat on your diet, I will assume that you are overweight. If you're not I apologize in advance.

But the first thing you have to do is get on the good food (for the rest of our lives) and quit cheating on your diet. It might not be all weekend, but it will happen.

In the meantime, remember that a statin is not as hard on the liver as your current status is on your heart. Statins can irritate your liver. Your current situation will damage your heart. What is most important at this time? Do not be afraid of one at least for a while. If you go on it (and maybe you should), you do not stay there.
