Diverticulum Surgery

I must have a piece of my colon removed a few weeks ago due to a rupture of diverticula diverticulitis undiagnosed. What are the chances of me making a cancer of this disease?

Subjects with diverticulitis or other diseases of the colon were slightly higher risk of colon cancer, but it is not inevitable. It would be more likely if you have a history of colon cancer in your family. I would like to get regular colonoscopies, as it is recommended
