Ear Implants My Doberman has a cut ear Droopy. Does anyone know about the ear implants? How effective are they? My Dobie is of 10 months. His right ear is perfectly while the left ear hangs a few hours after the post is deleted. A vet told me not to give up yet, it should be kept until it is announced. Another said that at this point, the cartilage does not change much so I can either give up and drop or have an implant in that ear. I do not plan to show him, but also wants to keep both ears properly. It is a beautiful dog! Keep posting, but be diligent, almost 10 months is the point of no change. Do not give up, I had a dog, I was ready to give up to 11 months. old, but I posted again anyway, two weeks later, guess what, they were magnificently and have been up since. How should you fall ill and how long does it take after you delete the post. Be sure to do little things that get his attention and he made his ears perk too. What the hell does it matter if he has an ear Droopy? You probably too imperfections, but your parents didn't rush to surgery for please now have they??? I would follow what the vet says. We had a Doberman when I was younger with the same problem, an ear would simply not right. My mother had already gone at least 5 times. All this does cause pain and irritation of dog but he did finally stand. In all honesty, a drooping ear can be cute if it adds character just leave the poor dog alone. Dobies are even more beautiful with their natural ears floppy:) I want to keep posting too. I heard about the take up to a year to get them to. I heard implants, but do not know the cost, pain involved, or what equipment is used. If you do choose this route, make sure they did before the surgery successfully. what?? ear implants?? ru kidding?? let the dog ba dog. have a natural ear and ear drooping isn't going to make a difference in the dog is just what you think u should its visual b. roughly, thats plastic surgery for dogs. ear implants for animals, for no reason. thats ridiculous. I bet it is beautiful with or without the amount ear. If you do not intend to show him, then who cares? I had a dog that has ears move independently of each other. It would be up while the other was arrested more. He had heard a noise and the flop and the other one goes out. It was such a part of his personality, character and charm. I always say "it is only half listening." I guess I did not. Posted on February 28, 2010.
