Early Stages Of Dementia

Early Stages Of DementiaDoes anyone know if there are memory exercises to help improve dementia praecox?

My husbnad is in the early stages of dementia and his memory is deteriorating rapidly and it is very painful for him and frustrating for me. Are there memory exercises that can help them remember things that happen every day, and perhaps help him find the memory of some other simple things ... as he does not remember how to operate the washing machine, remote control, where its clothing is drawers.how some disable the alarm, etc.
These may seem like small things ... but for someone who used to know them so easily and now can not ... they become a major problem. I am so worried about him ... he is so frustrated and starts to say things he should not.
Please, can someone help us do!
Thank you in advance!

My stepmother is in the same boat, my stepfather was involved in medicine all his life and had her do things like crossword puzzles (they all do) and everything concerning the recall of memory. easy word games or games of the image could be useful to try and at least slow the process. Dementia is difficult for everyone then get in touch with others in the same situation in your area and they may be able to help how they coped with it.

Anything that challenges the mind in the smallest way helps. Read together, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, looking at old photos game name, this air. Your local Alzheimer Society can be an excellent resource. Give them a call.

I read a simple exercise, which I have already started practicing. It goes like this: enter a room, look at each object in the room, then leave the room. Then sit down and write down all the elements of the room you can remember, and check if you missed something. (2) read a short paragraph or a short story and after 5 minutes, said as much as you can. In India, we believe eat 2-3 almonds in the morning checklist, I have no proof of that, but it does not hurt.
as a concrete thing, have you tried using an alarm to tell your husband that he must do something?
my best for you and your husband.
