Eating Disorder Treatment

Eating Disorder TreatmentHow eating disorders treatment work?

I'll start to see a specialist eating disorder next week and possibly do a partial hospitalization program perhaps. How difficult is it to recover from anorexia or eating disorders not otherwise specified (EDNOS)? Is this really helping the therapy? What exactly happens in the treatment help? Do they mean that you force yourself to eat?

Yes, eating disorder treament works!
I used to be bulimic, but I had to go through treatment ... It really helped me. But you must get in the right frame of mind, you know? You need to want to get better.

They do not force you to eat. They explore why you do not eat, and encourages you to find other ways to deal with stress.
And uh, no, they are not "guilt you.

they put you on a feed you with iv fluids from IV

Of course, it works. You should prepare yourself that you will improve much through the treatment plan. I would like to add a source site "speculation and scientific research all try to understand and explain the causes of eating disorders - it is not known exactly what triggers or causes something like anorexia by example, but possible explanations are offered: 1. stressed or upset about something in your life, or 2. feeling that you need to be "under control". 3. Company is also a lot of pressure on people to be thin.
While it is important for healthy eating habits and a balanced lifestyle to watch what we eat and exercise, over-exaggeration, manipulation and / or distort our eating habits and worrying about him anytime, anytime, is obsessive behavior and leads to self-destructive choices and habits which, as an anorexic, you do things harmful to your body because of this unhealthy obsession of your weight - it envelopes you and your whole like and becomes an absorbing activity and distorted thought processes that can lead to myriad health problems are not limited to: stomach problems, heart problems, irregular periods or no periods in girls, the fine hair on the body, including the face and skin dry and flaky.
treatment options exist, but the main focus on the road to recovery for patients with anorexia nervosa are: (i) taking the first step in a return to a normal weight. (Ii) hospitalization and rehydration (iii) physicians may recommend dietary advice to learn to choose healthy foods and eating at regular times. (Iv) For both anorexics and bulimics, family and individual counseling and talk about your feelings about your weight and problems in your life is desirable and useful.

I think that all treatment programs for eating disorders are different, but almost all are very effective.

I'm sorry you're having to suffer an eating disorder.

There is hope! I've almost recovered from anorexia, just trust your docs ti etc. I was worried they would make me fat, but as they said they do not want you to get fat if you do Just go back to anorexia! They want to help you regain health and maintain a healthy weight, and most importantly, get your life!

There's so much more important than food and weight! I found the recovery relatively easy once I really decided I wanted to change. The part I find most difficult is to prevent re-lapse, this is something I battle every day, but I want you to know recovery is possible, and the closer you get to a healthy weight, better!

So I would encourage you to try to recover as quickly as possible it would be wonderful if you could avoid many problems in the long term health!

Thinking of you and wish you the strength :-)

There is no such thing as EATI.
