Elevated Liver Count

Elevated Liver Countelevated liver numbers. What does this mean? See more details.?

Hello, I am your average female of 25 years, trying to juggle a career and social life while living myself (or with roommates). Anyway, I recently had some blood work done and the results came back fine except for a number of "liver". My doctor said it was only slightly higher than normal, but it should still not where he is. I am generally healthy and want to know from anyone who may know (since my doctor was not really too much to give details or information return) ... what makes this happen? I'm not a big drinker, maybe 6-8 glasses a week (usually wine) which is on average one drink per day (which they say is healthy). Can anyone please give me all the information? Thank you!

The big question is - why the test of the liver is first? Were you having any symptoms? If your doctor has ordered that the showing of "routine" test, it means absolutely nothing. ignore. If there was a particular concern, it can mean many different things. You need to talk to the doctor who ordered it. Ask him why, and what follows.

A glass a day would not be considered "healthy". The evidence behind the wine and the prevention of heart disease is not well established.

The term "hepatic number" has no meaning whatsoever. What exactly was high? AST, ALT, LDH, bilirubin, etc. Only by knowing exactly what was high may get an idea of what that if something can be wrong.
