Why do they give you armpits forearms rather than crutches for the injury? I have a broken ankle and was using crutches regularly for several months, but I bought forearm crutches in the thrift store. They are much better. I liked their earlier discovery, rather than now, when I'm almost out crutches.
You need a certain amount of muscle in your arm and shoulder for forearm crutches. The underarm crutch uses the bone structure of the aid. I agree with you, crutches under his arms are sore, but when you need to be completely off the injured limb, they are the best.
Some peoples arms and upper shoulder muscles may not be strong enough to keep using forearm crutches. Thus, the armpit crutches work for everyone.
