Hiv Sores

Hiv SoresIf any open wounds are present, what are the chances of becoming HIV positive?

What is the probability of becoming HIV positive if I had unprotected sex with a woman and I have no open sores or cuts on my penis, and she has no open sores or cuts on his vigin?

ANY unprotected sex is a risk. During unprotected sex, HIV is usually transmitted by an infected man to a woman or another man. It can be transmitted from an infected woman to a man, but it is not so common.

During sex HIV can be transmitted through semen. So if one of you were positive for HIV there is a very high chance the other person to be infected. This is not only spread through open wounds when it comes to sex.

dude sperm, the sperm.

Use your head, and a rubber next time.
These are the principal means by which a person can become infected with HIV:

Unprotected sexual penetration with someone who is infected.

Injection or transfusion of contaminated blood or blood products, donations of semen (artificial insemination), skin grafts or organ transplants from an infected person.

From an infected mother to her baby, which can occur during pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding.

The sharing of unsterilized injection equipment that has already been used by someone who is infected.
