Jobs For Deaf People

Jobs For Deaf PeopleWhat are the most common jobs for deaf people?

I know that deaf people can do anything:). But what are the jobs that are more frequently observed in the deaf culture? Thank you.

I am deaf.
I can tell you what I know ...
Most deaf people can work, but it is dependent on the audience of business people to reject them or hire them.
Most of the time they can work fast food, but they can not do much driving unless they can read instead of the hearing.
But mostly the big bosses do not want to hire deaf people because they will not have the time or hard difficulty communicating with the deaf, hard of hearing unless it is they might as well hire them.
I used to work in factories, but small problem is that many hearing people talk while they work, but if I worked myself? While no one is able to chat with me will make me go nuts! (It make me mad not to communicate with someone).
If you have more than 5 together with deaf, it will be great. But many deals or rich people really do not want us to work for them (not all, but almost)
Thus, most deaf people can do work such as cooking, actor / actress, factory, construction of the house .....
Oh, I'll have an eternity to tell you.
If you get pictures. :)
In the past, most Deaf people do not read very well, but now more and more deaf people read better, because today, a better technology.
My English may not be that because of my Great American Sign Language. (ASL)

As far as I can tell .... answer the phone when you call a computer problem.

Data entry, computer work, research in science ...

I knew a man who is totally deaf who worked in a noisy factory ... entire crew was deaf. Obviously, it would have things in the field of computing that would be a good match. Any where sign language was used.

As technology and education are improving labor market has opened greatly to the deaf community. After college, my first manager was deaf. She had a doctorate, and worked to write grants and help colleges and universities offer services to deaf and HOH students.

Historically, many deaf people have worked in printing presses. You still see a large number of deaf people at the post office. The retail stores are very popular for working stock. Teaching is a large field as well. technology fields are growing, developing internet websites of things. With video relay is becoming increasingly popular there are many deaf technical support for various companies and facilities managers and occupants to install the equipment. The college I used to work for many deaf students saw through the Culinary Arts program, as well as architecture. I worked with Deaf doctors and lawyers, engineers, interior designers, statisticians ... the list is long.

So you really can not deaf Pidgeon-hole in a field no one, as technology continues to improve their options continue to expand as someone else.
