Juvenile Lupus

Juvenile LupusCould my 19 month old daughter have something as lupus or juvenile arthritis?

I find it hard to find another answer. We see a specialist Monday, but meanwhile I am beside myself. My daughter 19 months baby has a very inflamed knee and has difficulty walking, she also has a butterfly rash on her face inexplicable reason. All symptoms point to lupus or juvenile arthritis, but PLEASE help calm my mind by offering something else that might be.

The butterfly rash lupus classic. As a mother, I know you want your child to be healthy, but honestly, it gets worse it could be. The singer, Seal had Lupus, and is now very well.

Please do a web search on lupus for more, because there are a few different types of lupus. Use what you learn to do a list of briefing notes to provide physicians, as well as questions to ask. This will help you be better prepared for the specialist (hopefully a pediatric immunologist) on Monday.

I hope everything goes well and that your child is able to make a full recovery.

I am so sorry to hear about your sick baby. It does sound as if she has symptoms of lupus more juvenile arthritis because of the butterfly rash on the face. I invite you to get with a lupus support group for parents experiencing the same thing you are, when you're sure to find. I willl say a prayer, if you do not mind, for your baby and family. Blessings, Sparkles

That's why you take it to a rheumatologist. Give him a chance doctor.

Meanwhile, as anxious as you can be (and rightly), there is nothing you can do to make a difference. In fact, being present tense, whatever you do to allow your daughter to return to your nervousness. She can not handle this and will only end in more pain and misconduct more than it would if you were to calm down a bit.

There are several types of JA. You must wait. But once it has been discussed, ask all the questions you have. Write them in advance, so you do not forget. Remember that there is no such thing as a stupid question, only questions that you do not answer yet.

I give you a link to a site that has discussion forums on arthritis, including advice about juvenile arthritis. Once your daughter has a diagnosis, even prior to a trial. It is a great place for support.
