Knee Joint Problems Why so many guys end up with the military so terrible knee / joint problems later? I worked in a rehabilitation center (physical) for some time, and many people we have treated military guys, and many of them had serious problems to the degradation of common knee problems, back problems, hip and failures, even. It was quite common for a guy 40 years would have knee joints with MRI looked 20 years older. I ran into the army so that my legs broke. They break into two or anything, I had stress fractures in my shins microscopic. I went from living extremely sedintary before leaving for basic. After two years in the army, it was excrutiating to run. Then, it was excrutiating to walk. I was limping around because my legs were so bad. I have a profile does not flow sickcall a few times and that helped a lot. But I toughed on and did my time, because nothing less was good enough for me. I have not had a board med or none of that. And now, my legs are fine, and I'm glad he toughed OUT. Running in boots, jumping from planes and other means of transport movement, General wear and tear only actions that exceed the manufacturer's specifications. Operating on the pavement takes a toll after a while. You figure the military run at least 3 times a week and at least a few miles. I think perhaps you exaggerate the problem. I work in an accounting office and no armed person has knee problems. Being a military or remedial work is difficult. Physical work, many carrying heavy loads, many of prolonged standing on unyielding surfaces, and many, many long hikes with heavy loads on their backs. RTO is correct. These are crazy BOOTS-n-Utts short! Damn those things! Posted on February 15, 2010.
