Loss Of Earnings

Loss Of EarningsA company may withdraw its offer of a job the day before you're due to start? Can I claim 4 lost wages?

I was offered a job, allowed me to work, and then the day before I was to start a new job offer withdrawn. The company is experiencing layoffs, including my new job. It's worse than being laid off since I was not given notice to find another job. Starting Monday, I'm unemployed. Am I entitled to claim for loss of income - even if only for a week's salary?

If you have a written offer of employment you are entitled to a notice to pay at least a week. (In British law) Search on the Web site or ICPD ACAS employment rights advice.

Perhaps - Have you signed an employment contract? If you do you should have access to a copy - and you should see if they indicate the amount of notice they must give you before you dismiss - for example if it says one week and then it's a Brechtian contract and you have a claim. You should ask your local council office of the public (if you live in the United Kingdom), they will help you with this and even give you the names of the lawyers of the employment offer free legal advice!

Do not know about you, but 99% do. Imagine you worked one day and they decided to get rid of you. contarctually they may, if it is not very different. Imagine you worked one day and have been dismissed. You would be entitled to nothing.
thats my reasoning anyway, but as I say I dont know you

Depends on the place. In Ohio, we are in a condition of employment. You or the employer can terminate at any time, without notice, without reason.

If this is the case, then you can not do anyhtign about it. You can show and he still wouldnt give you the right to anyhting.

I need more information on what where you live, but if you've received an offer written confirmation of the new society that you probably have a case. Call the EEOC (Equal opportunity Commission EPM) in your area. In addition, contact the Human Resources Director to the new company for more information about who they might be willing to do for you. Any reputable company knows that if they make a bona fide offer, they now have a responsibility to you since you lost your current job.

hiya, go to notices to its citizens free and they will tell you what you can even make do.they ringing around, and wrote letters to be written.

Very doubtful, it is of God (do not know if it's spelled right) but, in other words, due to circumstances beyond their control.

If you have a contract signed ... ...... then you can go for it ...... otherwise your out ........ ....... Sorry you screwed .......

You made redundant in your current job. Since the new company is experiencing layoffs, they had withdrawn their jobs available to you. The risk you take for the transition to a new job. Better luck next time.

I suppose you are in the United Kingdom.

I do not know if the two jobs are in the same company?

Or did you leave a company to go to the new company?

If this is a new company with a new job, I doubt you want to get something. At most, one week money. Check with the CAB.

If the new job is always the same (old) company, you can have more than one claim. Again, ask the CAB that it is an unusual situation
