I have 4 puppys one month old and one who was last man out just had a violent what looked like a seizure, he was foaming at the mouth and everything, if anyone knows what is S ' YOU PLEASE let me know. Thank you. The runt of the litter is usually one who can have problems. How long will the crisis last? Does the puppy relatively alert or is it slow and stupid? The mother in good health? Was the puppy eat properly? Has he been fed since the adjustment? Answer all these questions, then take all the babies and mom to the vet with the answers. Sounds like an epileptic seizure, which can have many causes or not. If he had this young, so it can be a lifelong thing, as a starting point falls later in life are often triggered by things such as drugs, unusual happenings. The vet will want to monitor mom and small, because at this age a puppy can begin to install and can never stop. I have a Doberman who is ill and the only away from her litter, one puppy died in three months after fitting and couldnt be stopped, another died at 14 months after having a fit that has caused damage to brain of another had a heart attack in the last 17 months and died after being struck by a car in 20 months. Take your dog to the vet as soon as possible. Perhaps a case of epilepsy, or the silent version of rabies. Sorry darling, but thats a new one on me. Please take this puppy to the vet. He really needs to be seen. Or at least call your vet and tell him what happened. OK he eather rabbis or illness or perhaps someone has broken his neck, thats what happened to my bird! We have a Doberman and when he was around the age of your puppy, he also had seizures. It was a scary thing, it happened a few times and we always took him to the vet. The vets really didn't have an answer for that, but he prescribed a drug called phenobarbital, which reduces the chances of your puppy seizures. The only problem with the drug is that it is something that the dog must be taken for their entire life, and it may shorten their life, but it was either that or put to sleep so we took the pills instead of the last choice. I think it was epilepsy, and he hasn't had a single seizure since he was about six months, and hes almost five years now. (Verrry fun And might I add) The vet thinks he was born with seizures as crazy as it sounds. If your puppy does not end up having a seizure again, you must make sure that you hold so it does not work or you get hurt! and he can choke its own language too during a seizure if you want to make sure you can see! good luck, your puppy will not give much on him yet. it may just be something that will leave ours did! GOOD LUCK I have a chihuahua, 12 years, and she has seizures too, we took her to the vet and they said she was so old that it would be shelved, but as usual at your dog well. What I do when she has seizures is to hold up your heart and your heart rate calms and Hold Em real close to you there legs trailing to practice if your dog has a crisis.
