Clarification of the recommended daily intake of sodium ...? Does it include sodium, milk, vegetables, and other similar sources?
It's my understanding that the recommended daily intake of sugar has only added sugars, not the fruit sugars, etc.
How does the effect of sodium too much or too little your body?
I understand that it is from all sources. Your body needs to have a balance between sodium and potassium and too little will cause too much shock cause dehydration and cardiac arrest.
Basically, you need a balanced diet varied meats, fish, poultry, legumes and protein at 4 calories per gram. Sugars, fruits, vegetables, starches and cereals contain carbohydrate at 4 calories per gram. Butter, margarine, salad oil, and 9 calories per gram.
The total sodium intake. Too much raises blood pressure, too little causes dehydration.
