Seizures In Teenagers

Seizures In TeenagersAnyone know of adolescents with complex febrile seizures?

I have a twelve year old son who had complex febrile seizures since he was 13 months. Doctors told us he would grow out of them before the age of 6 or 7, but it did not. Our neurologist told us that he is in the 5 per cent of children who continue to have the last 7 years old. But he is unable to say whether this will be a permanent condition. Does anyone out there know why, when or how he will finally grow out of them, if ever? We're clueless to the nth degree and just want a little support to cope with this situation. Would like to know if anyone out there dealing with the same situation. Thank you very much for the help and / or advice.

Not that I know of
