How can I wash my hair if I have shingles (herpes zoster) extending deep into my scalp? I've just been diagnosed with shingles on my face, hairline and getting on my scalp. The pain is moderate at this time, but I know it will get worse quickly. Can I wash my hair? How and with what? What happens after the blisters begin to break? I searched online and found nothing about it, oddly enough.
As far as I know, you can shampoo with a mild cleanser such as baby shampoo, when the epidemic together. Make sure the foam does not get into your eyes because it can carry the virus. Affected areas of skin should be clean.
You can always contact the dealer who diagnosed you for more information. Curiously, many people do not.
Sorry, this may not answer your question.
I'm just concerned about your medications.
To share my experience to deal effectively, although I am not a doctor but I wonder if you have three plants in your area (calachuchi, clover, vine snake)
In a pharmacy courses, students use the sap of these plants (calachuchi stem, the roots of the clover plant and stem of the vine snake). They are mixed and formed into an ointment Vaseline. You can research how it is established or seek the advice of a pharmacist or herbalist
It is very effective in a single application of the ointment in the area affected by shingles. About 3-4 hours, the inflamed shngles be dry and it will be virtually cured the next day.
This has been experienced with my son who got shingles about 8 years ago, he had a very fast healling. It was also known by another two neighbors who have shingles have been cured immediately by using the remnants of the ointment preparation.
Perhaps it is good to do more research on how these three components to be prepared and put done.It is also good, so there will be other (chemical and biological) scientific studies on this subject.
So, if the inflammation is cured shingles quickly, perhaps your problem wash your hair will no longer pose any problem.
Hope this helps.

I know that hot or cold water with excrutiatingly painful. Put your head back as far as possible and pour the warm water so it does not run down your face or body.
I'm sorry to hear that you have shingles, they so badly. Follow doctor's orders as best you can. Get your immune system up. B vitamins in a balanced supplement will help. Liquids are better than tablets. Nothing but time to heal. Oatmeal helps some people with pain and itching.
Be very careful. I would put a call to the doctor who diagnosed you and ask him what to do.
Make sure you take your medication .... shingles are on your face and is very close to your eyes and I do not think you need to be reminded.
I am sorry I receive too many shingles and I know how painful it is. I think the vaccination.
