Sleep Paralysis Causes

Sleep Paralysis CausesWhat are the causes of sleep paralysis and night terrors?

I am 16 years old and completely healthy and normal in all other respects, but for years (since I was 8 or 9), I experienced sleep paralysis and night terrors, the rate of about 1 or 2 times per month for paralysis and more often for night terrors. Does anyone know what causes this?

Sleep paralysis is closely related to the paralysis that occurs as a natural part of REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, which is known as REM atonia. Sleep paralysis occurs when the brain awakes from a REM state, but the bodily paralysis persists. This leaves the person fully conscious, but unable to move. In addition, the State may be accompanied by hypnagogic hallucinations. (Odd shapes, faces, etc..)
Some causes are: sleeping in a prone position on the rise
irregular sleep schedules, nap, sleep, sleep deprivation
Increased stress
Sudden environmental changes in lifestyle /
A lucid dream that immediately precedes the episode. Also conscious induction of sleep paralysis is a common technique to enter a state of lucid dreaming, also known as DDR.
artificial aids sleeping, antihistamines
Recent use of hallucinogenic drugs
low levels of melatonin, a hormone. Usually, the peaks of melatonin at its highest level in the middle of the night, but low levels, particularly at night, preventing stimulation of the muscles, causing the body to not have the ability to move during dreams, and even when they wake up.

Night terrors have something to do with REM sleep. In adults and children over the age of ten, they usually occure as a kind of trauma the person has lived.

I have the same thing. I wake up paralyzed, dream big black figures and hear strange noises. Why do we see the pictures, I wonder. People always try to find a solution such as stress or poor sleep habits. I had my first experiences with my stomach. I think its more spiritual dimension Flag
