Staph Infection PicturesIs this a "Staph Infection "...( photos included)??

Ok, so here is my story: Im a girl of 14 years, and softball = a large part of my life. So, there are about 12 days, we had a softball camp mandatory for all freshman who want to play softball. And the first day of camp, I obtained a right of strawberries this side of my knee ... (OUCH) and it was big enough. So yesterday, I woke up and the whole area of my knee had these little red Misquito looking things lol. and they burned like HECK! So I started watching, and every bump looked brilliant on top ... and I squeesed and poped like a zit and juice is released .... and its still there today ... (Surpirse, surprise) they are itching SUPER! Im starting to get a little scared have any idea what this could be me .... all the small bumps around the area of my strawberries ...... Do you think this could be a staph infection? My mother said that if it isn't better in a day or two, shes gonna take me to the doctor ..... here are the pictures ..... PS scab is the size of my strawberries ... points around the strawberry is what Im concerned

It is not possible to diagnose anything long distance. Your mother was right. I would definitely go to doc tomorrow or Monday if not better. In the meantime, try some hydrocortisone cream and see if it helps the itching. This is not a substitute for doctor's visit, but it can give you temporary relief.

I really do not know, but I wanted to ask if there was a chance that you have had any contact with poison ivy or oak when you scrape your knee? That may be what it is. But your mother is right, if not better in a day or two it is better to go to the doctor. It certainly seems more like a rash caused by an allergic reaction to something good.

HMM im not sure you should probably GO TO DOCTER if it is can be advanced, but unless you have this strawberry STAPH then I doubt IT

I do not think they have a staph infection. You can have an infection around him from the open wound. Get Neosporin, rub them on and around the wound and keep it covered. Take a 25 Mg Benadryl for the itching or before applying the Neosporin, rubbing a bit of white Vinegar Heinz around the wound. The vinegar helps the itch and kill bacteria it comes into contact with. The Benadryl will make you drowsy. There are prescription medicines the doctor may give you clear faster. You may end up having to see the Doc. The best for your young lady.

Hey, I'm also a 14 year old daughter who plays softball and one surprise * * strawberry is often. When I receive them, could always mine for about 5 days before starting to scab on the edges. Your photos do not look so bad, and to be honest, I have not seen and red bumps. But from what I heard, it seems that you can floor of dirt in your skin, and the "juice" that came out is probably just pus. I would not worry, and the itch is probably a good sign of healing.

I had a staph infection and I do not think thats what you have .. It wouldnt be very itchy .. it would be a big pussy filled cysts / abscess instead of a bunch of small .. very painful and becoming more and more with my time like a button.
