Sudden Hearing Loss In One Ear

Sudden Hearing Loss In One EarIs it the sudden loss of hearing in one ear often cause loss of taste on this side of the tongue?

It could, if the hearing loss, neurological or if I understand your middle ear. There is a nerve that runs through the middle ear, which supplies some of your language, if your middle ear is damaged, it would also have been damaged nerve. Do you have a metallic taste on the side of your tongue? The good news here is that the nerves of the other side of the language will soon enough and your taste should return to near normal. Your audience is quite another thing - go see an audiologist! Good luck!

You must see a doctor and do not waste time with that. The taste is controlled by the chorda tympani nerve, which is a hearing and will hear the facial nerves. Anything that affects both could be very serious.
