Valerian Sleep Aid

Valerian Sleep AidValerian is an effective sleep aid?

I had a terrible time both falling asleep and staying asleep. I read an article on valerian and it seems like a more natural sleep aid.

Valerian root works well enough for relaxing effects, but for me it did not really help to stay asleep. I found that some of the teas can be purchased in health food stores work better ... some other herbs in tea, and valerian to add the boost.

Melatonin is also good .. but can not be used for the long term. Melatonin is a 5-methoxy-N-acetyltryptamine, and a hormone naturally present in most animals and some other living organisms, including algae and humans, at levels that vary in a daily cycle. It plays a role in regulating the circadian rhythm of several biological functions. Perhaps it would be just using for a while, you get back to a habit of regular sleep.

Yes, valerian is very effective for many people .... but, unfortunately, different people respond differently to different supplements, so you can not get as much sleep as a benefit of others. Try it and see how it works for you.
If this does not work quite well, there are also several other options for natural sleep aid. There melatonin, chamomile, hops, L-tryptophan, L-Theanine, Passionflower, and Scullcap (a plant).
You can try one of these (one at a time, though) to help you sleep naturally.

Valerian is a good choice, you can check flower essence, you can also check B complex (But good). Normally when you have trouble sleeping you have any concerns that you have to control what you do with your stress. My suggestion is exercise, meditation or breathing exercise, food, drink pleanty of water, use a good complement.
And go to sleep.
Good luck to you.

Hello,
Valerian is powerful, natural, non-addictive and without side effects. For best results you might want to take about two hours before sleep. For some people, it takes up to 3-4 hours, so you can experiment with time.

Mint tea, drinks alkaline chicory-based (you can find in health food stores) and chamomile tea are equally powerful.

Hope this helps.

Magnesium, preferably in the form of chloride og so it is easily absorbed and works immediately, is a muscle relaxant and very nervous.

It is the magnesium in chamomile and other herbs, which gives them their properties as "sleeping pills".

In addition to being very effective magnesium chloride is very cheap - one Euro for 20 gr. which dissolve in 1 liter of water and lasts about one week.

Wishing you a good night's sleep!

Valerian is good. I'm sure it works diffrently to different people. For me, it helped a little but more, I just relaxed. wondered, however, melatonin, work, I read about it in a magazine and heard on TV, so I picked some up, and it works not only fast, but it lasts all night. I know other people who have the habit, it works so well.
