Bulimia (binging and purging) happens when someone eats a lot, then vomits the food out. So if you see someone go to the toilet after every meal which could be a sign. The person may also take laxatives. Thus, you can check for those.
The most important sign, of course, be sudden, dramatic weight loss. It is always a dangerous thing, if the person is bulimic, anorexic (starving themself) during exercises or pills. This is a serious situation and need immediate help.
